Alberton Mardi Gras and Night Market Stall Terms & Conditions
- EVENT DATE: The event takes place on October 5th, as advertised on the main website page.
- GENERAL:
- It is the stall owner’s responsibility to ensure that their stall fits within the allocated space and does not overlap into neighbouring stalls. No additional space will be made available on the day, as the layout will be finalized.
- Stall owners must book the correct size. When the event is officially opened, stall owners must ensure that their stall is sufficiently stocked. In and out access with vehicles during the event is not possible. Entry and exit via the main gates will be required if leaving the premises while the event is in progress.
- Electrical power points are available in designated areas only and come at an additional charge. Stalls are clearly marked where power is available.
- STALL RULES:
- Stall owners must provide their own equipment and infrastructure, including gazebos, structures, tables, racks, shelving, and seating. Merchandise remains the sole responsibility of the stall owners and staff. The venue and its security are not liable for any loss, damages, or theft.

- MERCHANDISE AND PRODUCT RESTRICTIONS:
- The following products are not permitted: Glass bottles, soft drinks alcohol, alcohol mixed into any other beverage (including slush), energy drinks, bottled water, weapons, smoking devices, unsafe or dangerous products, fireworks, and illegal products.

- STALL SETUP TIMES:
- Stall structures, gazebos, or vehicles/trailers may be placed on site on October 4th between 13:00 and 19:00. Stall owners can fit out and stock the stalls on October 5th from 6:00 to 9:00 prior to the event gate opening at 10:00. Security will start a lockdown procedure at 9:00, and all stall owners must exit the venue and enter via the ticket gates at opening time. Daily stock times: October 5th, 6:00-9:00.

- STALL FEES, REFUNDS, & CANCELLATIONS:
- Stall fees are non-refundable if the stall owner cannot attend the event. Notice of cancellation must be given in writing 2 weeks before the event date. Payments will be effected 7 days after written notice is received.

- DAMAGE CLAIMS:
- The venue’s electricity supply is stable, but the event owners are not responsible for damages caused by power surges or failures. Stall owners must have their own insurance for stock loss claims and appliance failures.

- STALL OWNERS’ VEHICLES:
- Parking area F is designated for stall owners who booked secure parking. Stall owners will receive a parking disk for their vehicle. Only the driver can park in this area; workers must enter via the main entrance gates. Once the stall is set up, vehicles must be removed from the premises and parked in the designated areas.

- Electricity is available only in designated areas. Silent/noiseless generators are allowed. Stall owners must provide a 30m extension lead to connect to a central distribution point.

- STALL STANDS:
- Stands are allocated strategically to ensure fair opportunities for all vendors. Stand numbers are final and cannot be changed.

- TRADING TIMES:
- Stall trading hours: October 5th, 10:00-22:00. All stalls must be manned for the entire duration of trading hours. No stalls may be removed from the venue before 22:00 on October 5th.

- CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE:
- Food stalls must have a Certificate of Compliance (COC). Assistance is available to obtain a certificate if needed.
